My First Completed Crochet Projects!!

This is far from perfect but I'm pretty proud of it since it is the first time I
have ever crocheted in my life. Oh and I taught myself(really You Tube taught me).

I have no idea if these will actually fit a child's head since I had
no one to measure with but if they do and I am not having a little
girl who ever wants these are welcome to have them. Of course
you must be an Auburn fan.

Easton's Room

Easton's door sign for the hostpital.

His tree that was lot's of hard work for daddy and me.

It's a bit crowded now but when he arrives the bassinet and swing will
be coming out of his room (to crowd the house elsewhere).

Can't wait for his newborn pics to fill the picture frames!

39 Weeks and No Sign of a Baby

I believe I had convinced myself that I was going to have this baby early, so every time I go to the Dr. and there is no change I am deflated. Now I have convinced myself that I am going to 41 weeks and even though this pregnancy has flown by, another 2 weeks feels forever away. I went to the Dr. Monday and there was still no change. The Dr. says that he has dropped but that I am very narrow so I may have to have a C-Section. I used to joke about not having those child-bearing hips, but never thought it was actually true. I was very upset when I left the Dr. that day. The last thing I wanted to hear was that I may have a C-Section. I know some women would prefer it and I also know that thousands of women everyday have them successfully, but it just scares me I'm not sure why. The Dr. also said that they would not induce me if I was not dilated until after 41 weeks. All in all as long as I have a healthy baby that all that counts. Overall I have still been feeling very good. I get tired occasionally and my hands and feet swell some but nothing too bad. I went to the chiropractor the last 2 weeks and they did an adjustment. It has helped me sleep so much better, I recommend this to all pregnant women.

On another note I have started crocheting. Since I graduated school, I have nothing but time on my hands, so it sounded like a good idea. I made Easton a baby Auburn blanket and then decided I didn't like it so I tore it apart and started on another one. I will post pics soon, I am almost finished.

9 Months

My how time flies when your getting fat :) It seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant and now I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of my little angel. We had the baby shower as I previously posted and I believe that we have everything we need for Easton. His room is finished, Josh just needs to put a few things together, but besides that I believe it is just waiting on a baby. I am finishing school up this week and I am so happy to get that over with, but now all I have is time on my hands. My friends say not to take it for granted, but I am ready for my little man to be here. I'm not quite sure that me and Josh are on the same page, he wants me to go all the way to my due date and I am thinking 37 weeks sounds good to me. Not that either of us have control over it, but I tell him all the time that if he wants to carry this baby he is more than welcome to want it to last 40 weeks. I understand now why they make those bellies for men to wear to get the feel of it. I need to find one for my dear husband.

I had a 35 week Dr. Apt. last week. They examined me and said that I was not dilated but that she could feel the head. She estimated his weight to be 5 1/2 to 6 lbs, although I know you can't really depend on that. I go back Monday and I will be 36 and half weeks, hopefully I have progressed. I don't really think he has dropped but my stomach definitely feels like it is all baby. I would love to see a sonogram of him now. I am starting to stay tired again but I think it's mostly from not being able to sleep well at night. It is a bit harder to get around and I find myself sweating( I have never been a sweater) even though I am doing nothing. I still feel pretty good but I still stick to my guns that being pregnant is not the most joyous occasion.

We went to the beach about two weeks ago for the Fourth of July. I had a pretty good time, the first few days were great. I mostly stayed under a tent, in the pool, or in the ocean. My hands and feet swelled while I was there but now that I am home they have went down. The last day or two I mostly stayed out of the ocean. The last day I stayed in the room. Me being tired was the worst part, the heat was not all that bad on me. Again, I had a good time but I was ready to go home when it was time.

Now all there is left to do is pack our bags for the hospital. I'm not sure how well I am going to handle the next few weeks of sitting around twirling my thumbs. Surprisingly I am not nervous. But I am typically the type that does not get nervous until it actually happens. I am sure the day of I will be. I really do not want to get induced. I have the whole vision in my head where my water breaks at home and it's all a big surprise. I know that doesn't happen often, but that's the way I want it. Now if I make it to 40 weeks I will be singing a different tune. I'm sure by then I will be ready to get the show on the road.

Baby Shower

The wonderful ladies of my church threw me a baby shower on July 10th. We had a great turn out and baby Easton got lots and lots. I chose to just have one big shower because of it being the middle of summer, I know how busy everyone can be so I want to thank everyone who made it and especially friends and family who made food and helped put his room together. I feel like we are actually ready for him now we are just sitting around waiting.

29 Weeks

It has been awhile since I have written mostly because nothing interesting has really happened. I am still getting bigger every second it feels like. Josh and I had maternity pics made last week, I am really excited to get those back and I will post them as soon as I get them. My 7 month check up was Tuesday. I had to take the glucose test which wasn't awful but wasn't great either. They took blood from me twice and I had to get another shot, something to do with my blood type. To sum it up this was the least amount of fun I have had thus far at my Dr's visits. I really do not want to write how much weight I have gained but since I am committed to telling about ALL of my pregnancy experiences I will. At this visit I gained 10lbs, which means I have gained 29lbs total. My goal for the total pregnancy was to gain no more than 40lbs but I'm not sure that I will make that. I really don't feel like I eat that much. Around month 4 and 5 I could tell an increase in my appetite but it has kind of slacked off lately. I have had more cravings for sweets lately, that could have something to do with it. Which brings me back to my glucose test, I have not heard from the Dr. which means I must have passed. This makes me very happy because I was so worried about having gestational diabetes. I know some people will want to slap me for saying this, but so far this pregnancy has been super easy. It is hard adjusting to getting bigger, but I have not had swollen hands or feet yet, no heartburn, and etc. I know I still have 2 1/2 months to go, I only pray that I continue to be so lucky. Well that is all I can think of for now, I will post again soon.
