Just waiting
Dec 19th-Jan 6thWe found out we were pregnant and could not get a dr's appointment until Jan. 7th. The anticipation of finding out how far along we were about killed us. I have been sooooo very tired these past 3 weeks. I feel like all I do is sleep. I started craving broccoli for a while which I was happy about craving healthy food because I am so scared of getting huge and getting stretch marks. I have not thrown up any but have been nauseous a couple of times. The nausea only last for about 30 minutes so I am counting myself lucky.

Telling our families Part 2
On this day we went to Boaz to tell my family. We had to make several stops but we went to my mom's first. I had wrapped the same picture frame for her as I did Josh's mom. When she opened it she cried. Next, we went to my grandmothers, she had the flu that week so I barely stepped inside the doorway. I wouldn't let her near me and I had my mouth covered with my shirt and I just blurted out "you are going to be a great grandmother". She was excited I think I didn't stay long enough to find out, there was no way I was going to catch the flu. Apparently Josh did not like the way I just blurted it out to my grandmother so he said he was going to tell the next person. We then went to my Aunt Jackie's house. We sat and talked to them a while and in casual conversation he said something about our baby. I didn't think she would catch on to that but she did quickly. She cried worse than anyone but again they were all very happy.
That night we texted all of our friends.

Telling our families
Josh could not wait until Christmas to tell our families so we went ahead and told them early. Josh's papaw had been in the hospital for a while so we went to visit them on this night. Both Josh's parents and grandparents were at the hospital. I bought a picture frame for his mother that said grandparents on it and typed up a page that said you're going to be grandparents. For Josh's dad and grandparents we bought two books. The book Just Grandpa and Me was a book that Josh had when he was little so we gave that to his dad and we gave a similar book to his grandparents. They were also wrapped and told they had early Christmas presents. When they all opened them they were ecstatic. It took his grandparents a minute to catch on but when they figured it out they were very happy. Both Josh's parents and my mom have been on us since the day we were married about giving them grand kids, so that night we made their dreams come true!

The Day I Found Out I Was Pregnant
I woke up around 8:00 this morning to get ready to go to a Dr's. appointment at the sleep lab. If you know me you know that I talk, walk, and do crazy things in my sleep. I knew that I was a few days late but really didn't think anything about it. I stopped taking my birth control around the second week in October so my periods were a little off schedule anyways (sorry to the guys if any of you are reading this). I had a pregnancy test at the house already so I thought I would just take one anyways. Sure enough it took about 1min for it to say positive. I was in complete disbelief so I got dressed quickly and ran to town to get another test. I came home and took the second test and it was also positive. By this time I didn't really know what to think. I cancelled my appointment because a friend of mine works there and I knew if I seen her I would tell her and I needed to tell Josh first. I did not want to tell him on the phone so I was going to wait until he got off work. My friend Heather text me right after I found out and of course I could not hold it in, I had to tell her. So Heather and I came up with a way to surprise Josh. If I forgot to mention this was the same day we received his National Championship tickets in the mail. We decided to put the test(along with the result key) in a zip lock bag and wrap it, I knew he would think it was his tickets. By the way I talked to him twice on the phone that day and it was so hard not to tell him then. When he got home I told him he had an early Christmas present and handed him the bag to open. He opened it and asked "what is this"? I didn't say anything he was in complete shock, it was priceless. Then I am pretty sure he started to cry so he covered it up by laughing (macho men). He was very excited. We then decided we were going to wait until Christmas to tell our families.
P.S Do not believe people when they say it takes 4 months for birth control to get out of your system ;)
